Creation of ATOME Power
ATOME is establishing a market-led, large-scale renewable power generation and infrastructure business with initial focus on Latin America. ATOME Power is intended to serve as a standalone business providing long-term solutions to third party users. The business will capitalise on ATOME’s geographic footprint, management expertise, experience and strategic partnerships with technology suppliers and financial institutions.
Power Generation
ATOME POWER’s first project is the development of a utility-scale solar energy project in Paraguay, with plans to install up to 400MW of capacity complemented by battery storage. The project’s first phase includes an option over 685 hectares of land near Buey Rodeo substation, benefitting from high solar irradiation levels (4.85kWh/m²/day).
ATOME aims to be a major independent electricity provider enabling sustainable multi-sector growth in Paraguay into the next decade beyond whilst providing a diversified significant and independent income stream for the ATOME Group.
Leveraging modern advancements in solar and battery technologies, ATOME POWER aims to deliver stable, high-value energy solutions with operational lifespans of 25 years or more. The company will offer “power as a service” to support long-term offtake contracts for high-volume users such as AI and data operations. These agreements create robust and diversified revenue streams for ATOME while contributing to Paraguay’s renewable infrastructure and energy security.
The Model
- Export power through the grid network
- Provide power and infrastructure for third-parties providers to existing and emerging end users like AI, data and similar technologies
